An original watercolour painting of a Physalis, commonly known as Chinese Lanterns, The fruits of this plant are encased in these exquisite little pods, which over time, become skeletons, with the the encased fruit inside. This panting took many hours, applying layers and layers of paint, to give depth of colour. Then comes my favourite bit.......the detail.
